MAWHC Year-End Saddle

The 2003 Award Saddle is once again sponsored by MAWHC and Rick's Tack and Supply Shop

MAWHC will award a saddle again this year to the All Around Champion Horse. This year-end award will go to the horse, regardless of the exhibitor, accumulating the greatest number of points in the mandatory classes. Qualification for All Around points will be counted for the one (1) mandatory Halter class, one (1) mandatory English class, one (1) mandatory Junior or Senior horse class, one (1) mandatory Performance class and one (1) mandatory Pleasure class. Horses eligible must show in all five qualifying classes 50% of the time offered. If reining or contesting classes are offered at 50% of the shows, and exhibitor shows in them 50% of the time offered, the class will count toward All Around.   The exhibitor will pay MAWHC a $5.00 fee for this award.  They will also fill out and sign the All Around Champion Horse Form stating they understand the requirements for this class and this form must be turned in to MAWHC by mid-season.  Points will count for the whole season or when membership begins once the form is filled out.  No form will be accepted after the weekend the mid-season points are published.  MAWHC will award a Reserve All Around Champion if the top two horses are with 10 points.

Rick's Tack & Supply Shop is owned by Rick and Brenda Pritchard. Their shop is located on the corner of CR 376 and 68th Street, Hartford, MI 49052. The telephone number is (616) 621-3069. Rick's carries lots of brand names such as Circle Y, Big Horn, Wrangler, Ariat and Laredo boots, and more. They sell English and Western tack and apparel. Note some of the different items in the pictures of the saddle. If you need a special item that they don't carry, Brenda is always helpful in finding and special ordering that item. They also buy and sell used tack. They sell feed and bedding too. Rick also has a tack trailer and you will see him at MAWHC and area horse shows. MAWHC is very grateful to Rick and Brenda for helping us sponsor this year's All Around Horse Saddle. This Big Horn Show saddle package is valued at $1265.
